Component-based and Distributed Web Application for Embedded Systems

چکیده

This paper deals with putting into practice a concept of Remote Service Applications for embedded systems. Remote Service is a merger of remote diagnosis, maintenance, controlling and monitoring. This concept focuses on three important aspects: Distribution, Minimum Modification of Embedded Devices and Component-based Development. The distribution of Remote Service Applications of several computer nodes is due to the fact that embedded systems do not usually have a large memory. We also put just a small part of hardware and software components on the embedded device. Components are used as far as possible in order to make an universal architecture which can be used for different embedded devices. Component-based software development is a promising way to improve quality, time to market and handle the increasing complexity of software. To encode the information between the distributed nodes a special Markup Language SDML (Service Description Markup Language) was developed.
